Seminar on Cyber-crime and Cyber Security

Allied Science department of Cummins college of Engineering for women, Nagpur organized a special awareness session on Cyber Crime and Cyber Security for First year students in Student’s Induction program. The session was conducted by PSI madam Ms. Amruta Somwanshi and the team of cyber security department of police, Hingana Nagpur.

Increased awareness: The students gained a better understanding of the importance of cybersecurity and ethical hacking, and the risks associated with cybercrime. This will help them to be more vigilant and take appropriate measures to protect their personal and professional information.

Improved knowledge: The seminar equipped students with the knowledge and skills required to implement effective cybersecurity measures and defend against cyber threats. They learnt about the latest tools, apps and techniques used by hackers to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.

Enhanced security: By implementing the strategies and recommendations provided in the seminar, participants would be able to enhance the security of their systems and networks.


 

Guest lecture on Adolescent nutrition, health, and Emotional aspects

Allied Science department of Cummins college of Engineering for women, Nagpur arranged a guest session on Adolescent nutrition, health, and Emotional aspects for First year students. The session was conducted by Dr. Ragini Mandlik, a renowned Gynaecologist of Nagpur.

DR. Mandlik focused on importance of Food and nutrition for improving mental well-being and concentration. She explained the importance of balanced diet and benefits of nutritious food intake in daily life. She also explained the effects of improper eating habits on emotional health. The issues and the problems related to menstruation caused by imbalanced lifestyle, lack of nutritious diet, worry and stress were also explained to the students. More than 60 students attended the sessions.

Three days workshop on Madhubani Art for beginners

Allied Science department of Cummins college of Engineering for women, Nagpur arranged 3day workshop on Madhubani Art for beginners under skill development activity for First year students in Student’s Induction program. The workshop was conducted by Mrs. Swapna Bhagwat. She is a professional artist and silver medal award winner in MFA. Students were introduced the oldest art form Madhubani painting, which is from Mithila, Bihar. In 3 day workshop students were taught the basic form of the madhubani art then later on painting was taught to them. More than 50 students attended the workshop.
