NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. It was introduced in 1969 with the goal of developing the personality and character of student youth through voluntary community service. NSS aims to provide students with hands-on experience in delivering community service.

The primary objective of NSS is to develop the personality and character of student youth through voluntary community service.

Ideological Orientation:

The NSS is inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, with the motto "Not Me But You" according to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

NSS volunteers participate in various government-led community service activities and programs.
