Welcome to the Department of Computer Engineering at Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Nagpur. The Department of Computer Engineering was established in 2010. The department offers Rashtra Sant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University’s B-Tech degree in Computer Engineering program. The vision of the department is to transform the society through education and empowering women professionals by achieving comprehensive academic excellence and by providing a platform for long learning in computer engineering. The department has well qualified professional faculty members along with non-teaching staff. Faculty members are contributing towards the holistic development of students. The department has received grants for the establishment of labs, such as Advanced lab funded by the Cummins India Limited in 2019, AI/ML lab funded by the HCL Technologies Limited in 2022. Department has state of art infrastructure including Centre of excellence in Machine Learning in collaboration with HCL Technologies Ltd. which provides training and internship opportunities to students in field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Department has III CELL (Industry Institute Interaction cell) under which every faculty member connects to industries for industrial visit, expert lecture, sponsored project, internship, and placement for our students. Department has MOU with various multinational and small-scale software industries such as CIL, HCL, ZENSAR, CADEMATE, RISEWELL, etc industries which provides resource persons as well as training to students in cyber security and ethical hacking domain, object-oriented programming domain, networks domain. Department has also MOU with the NU-technology industry which provide Aptitude and Soft Skill training to the students. The outcome of the III CELL activities can be seen in @ 90 % placements of the students in core product base industries having highest package 24.75 LpA in CISCO, NIKE 15.16 LpA, GSK15 LpA, CItI 13.7 Garten 12.19 LpA and many more. Furthermore, to promote co-curricular activities in students, department has strong association with different professional bodies like Computer Society of India (CSI) Indian IETE, ISTE, IETE Students also runs in-house technical club named as Coder’s Club and Cultural activities in Annual function Ananya. Students also participated in the national, university and inter collegiate level sports.
