Roles & Responsibilities of the Chief Superintendent
- * To Constitute Examination Cell
- * To Constitute internal Flying Squad, Invigilators and other human resources for smooth conducting of Examination in the College in coordination with Dean Examination.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Examination Cell
- * To interact with University for Examination related works.
- * To head Unfair Means Committee during Examination.
- * To appoint internal and external Examination for laboratory assessment in coordination with HoDs and Dean Examination.
- * Responsible for the due custody of the records pertaining to his/her work.
- * Shall have administrative control over the members working under him/her.
- * Should put up notice inviting students to have the Examination form collected and returned in due time.
- * Prepare relevant timetables for our college based on the Examination Timetable.
- * Shall conduct the Examination (College, University, Govt./Private) and therefore make all other arrangements and be responsible for the due execution of all processes connected therewith.
- * Conduct a pre-Examination meeting to brief the members of faculty regarding the Examination procedures and the role and responsibilities of A report of same shall be submitted to the principal.
- * All the results (First Year to Final Year) shall be displayed on the respective student Notice Boards/College Website. A copy of the same shall be sent to the respective HODs.
- * Ensure that adequate stationery, like answer sheets, drawing sheets, charts, graph paper, drawing boards, trays, threads, water jugs etc. are made available.
- * Any other duty/responsibility assigned by the principal.
- * Responsible for conducting internal Examination in smooth and transparent.
- * Should be able to communicate with Examination In-charge and HOD related to all the Examinations.
- * Informing about the notifications/circulars related to Examination to the faculty and students.
- * Addressing the grievances related to registrations and Examinations to Examination In-charge and HOD.
- * Keeping the records of all grievances and results.
Roles and Responsibilities of Concerned Faculty
1. Preparation and Planning:
- * Timetable Creation: Developing and publishing the schedule for internal Examination, ensuring it aligns with the academic calendar and allows sufficient time for teaching and preparation.
- * Question Paper Setting: Creating question papers that are relevant to the curriculum, challenging, and assess the students' understanding of the subject matter.
- * Examination Material Preparation: Ensuring the availability of necessary materials like answer sheets, stationery, and other resources required for the smooth conduct of Examinations.
2. Conduct of Examination:
- * Invigilation: Assigning and briefing invigilators to supervise the Examination halls, ensuring a fair and secure environment for students.
- * Seating Arrangements: Creating appropriate seating plans to minimize disruptions and prevent cheating.
- * Maintaining Discipline: Ensuring that students adhere to the rules and regulations during the Examination and addressing any instances of misconduct.
3. Evaluation and Result Management:
- * Answer Script Evaluation: Arranging for the evaluation of answer scripts by qualified faculty members.
- * Maintain transparency: Show the checked answer sheets to the students and ask them to verify marks. Resolve the issues reported by the students related to subject.
- * Result Processing: Calculating and compiling the marks, preparing the result sheets, and displaying them for students on notice boards.
- * Result Analysis: Analysing the results to identify areas of strength and weakness in the students' performance.
4. General Responsibilities:
- * Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of all Examination-related activities, including attendance sheets, question papers, and results.
- * Coordination: Coordinating with various departments and faculty members to ensure the smooth functioning of the Examination process.
- * Compliance: Adhering to the college's policies and guidelines regarding Examination and ensuring compliance with any relevant regulations.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities for Laboratory Examination:
Pre-Examination Preparation:
- * Lab Setup: Ensuring the laboratory is properly equipped and organized with all necessary apparatus, chemicals, and materials before the examination.
- * Equipment Check: Verifying the functionality of all equipment and instruments to be used during the exam.
- * Stationery: Obtaining necessary stationery items (e.g., answer sheets, graph paper) from the designated authority.
- * Schedule Awareness: Familiarizing themselves with the exam schedule, including the number of batches and allotted time slots.
During the Examination:
- * Student Guidance: Providing clear instructions to students on the procedures and tasks involved in the experiments.
- * Supervision: Monitoring students during the practical session, ensuring they adhere to the instructions and safety guidelines.
- * Doubt Clarification: Addressing student queries within the established academic guidelines.
- * Attendance Marking: Recording student attendance and marking the relevant sections of their hall tickets.
- * Security: Ensuring the security of the examination environment and preventing any unfair practices.
- * Material Distribution: Providing necessary materials to students as per the experiment requirements.
Post-Examination Activities:
- * Evaluation: Assessing student performance based on their practical work, observation, and results.
