About Department

Cummins College of engineering for women, Nagpur has the objective to impart high quality education in Engineering and Technology to the younger generation with the required skills and abilities to face the challenges needed for the industry. The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering have an annual intake of 60. The college is educating women, and in turns the society as a whole. The Department has well-equipped laboratories and provides excellent facilities for learning. The Department periodically organizes seminars, workshops and guest lecturers for the benefit of both the students and the faculties

VISION

To empower women engineers to achieve the lead in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and to provide a program to produce creative technocrat who can face technological challenges.

MISSION

To provide well equipped laboratories, technical facilities, adequately qualified faculty and latest technical information through various methods like workshops, webinars, seminars, expert lectures and practical exposure through technical events in collaboration with industries and academia and also through conduct of motivational to become a good human being and learned citizens.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  • PEO-1: To Integrate applied sciences fundamentals and up to date approaches derived from theengineering practicesin order to apply engineering knowledge for analyticalreasoning.
  • PEO-2: To impart students with good scientific and engineering knowledge to comprehend, analyze, design, solve multidisciplinary and real life problems.
  • PEO-3: To Practice using a systems approachto handle many different aspectsof multi-disciplinaryprojects & accomplish professional development withteam building, ease of responsibility and leadership.
  • PEO-4: To prepare students to adapt current trends by engaging in lifelong learning to pursue higher studies / succeed in employment in Electronics and Communication Engineering with a sense of legal, ethical and socio-economic environmental.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

  • 1. Understand basic principles of Electronic and Telecommunication and make mathematical model to solve complex engineering problems, and be competent in design of signal processing, VLSI, Embedded systems, communication system in environmental, and other. applications
  • 2. Build strong ethical strength to work in team or as a team leader and become Professional.
  • 3. Develop ability to adopt technology changes, undertake higher studies and research.

Program outcomes (POs)

PO1. Engineering knowledge:  Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2. Problem analysis:  Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3. Design/development of solutions:  Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems:  Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5. Modern tool usage:  Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6. The engineer and society:  Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
