Webinar on FOOD-PLANET-HEALTH

NSS unit of RTMNU collaborated with Vegan Outreach and NSS unit Cummins college of Engineering for Women, Nagpur (CCOEW) organized a virtual webinar on topic : FOOD-PLANET-HEALTH on 21st October 2021. In this live session speaker Mr. Abhishek Dubey explained the importance of vegan diet and its health benefits. He also educated the students about the impact of meat and dairy on animals and the environment.

Organ Donation

29th November, 2021

To honor the death anniversary of Baya Karve, an organ donation webinar was conducted by NSS unit, CCOEW. Guest speaker Dr. Ravi Wankhede, Director – Mohan Foundation told the attendees about importance of organ donation and transplantation. The webinar was conducted on zoom platform from 3-4 pm. This event was organized in collaboration with NSS unit, Sitabai Nargunkar College of nursing.

Today’s modern world have also changed crime and how its conducted in our society. Cybercrime being one of them, its lack of awareness is a problem that needs to be address immediately. RTMNU in collaboration with Nagpur police organized a self-defense workshop to specifically help students to gain insight into this domain. This one-day workshop was held on 8Th Dec at Suresh Bhat sabragrah, Nagpur. It was focused on issue of cybercrime, its effects and challenges and how important it is to be aware of this problem. The program was presided over by Chief Guest Amitesh Kumar (Police commissioner, Nagpur police), President Subash Chowdhary, Vice Chancellor RTMNU and Guest of honor Smt. R Vimala.

Shri Milind Pongshe talked about today’s rise in cybercrime and how students are vulnerable to it. Shri Chinmay Pandit guided the students about cybercrime and prevention measures. Shivali Deshpande told about students’ opportunities in Defense and Research. Smt. Aswati Doraje and Dr. Sanjay Dudhe, Dr. Abhay Mudgal, Dr. Rajiv Hivse were also present

With the knowledge gained in the workshop, the students would be equipped with dealing with potential issues in their day to day life. A part of the workshop training is also dedicated to teach students to spread awareness about this problem, wherein the students would to their respected villages and spread the message. In future, A physical training routine is also planned in January to teach basics of self-defense

Golden Victory Day Celebration Victory Rally

12th December 2021

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the victory in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. A Golden Victory Day celebration is being held on this occasion to honour the heroic women, officers and warriors who took part in this victorious war.

The NSS unit of CCOEW, Nagpur participated in the rally. They displayed their support by encouraging and cheering up the rally when they crossed our Deo Nagar office. There were approx. 35 students present

Visit to Defense Exhibition

17th December, 2021

Ordinance factory (Defense) organized a 3- day exhibition from 17th-19th Dec to showcase their technological products and innovations under the ‘Azaadi ka amrit Mahotsav’ programme. 45 students from CCOEWs visited the exhibition on 17th Dec. They gained insight about the country’s’ defense schemes. Our students learned about different weapon systems and other important technological inventions by the help of videos, models and demonstrations shown by the organizers.
