Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, with the noble aim of women empowerment through education established Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS) in 1896. Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Nagpur is run by MKSSS and funded by Cummins India Foundation which is USA based Company.
